General Terms & Conditions of Business

Scope

These Terms of Business apply to all work carried out by Handsfree (UK) Ltd trading as Wosson Vehicle Technology (“the Company”). Certain products or services, including Wosson Telematics, may be subject to additional product or service-specific terms which are detailed in a separate service contract. Where applicable, those specific terms shall take precedence.

1. Contract Formation

A contract is formed when an order is accepted or processed by the Company, whether verbally, in writing, or electronically. “Products” and “Services” refer to any goods or services supplied by the Company. Nothing in these Terms affects the Customer’s statutory rights.

2. Customer Requirements and Suitability

Any recommendations provided by the Company are based solely on the Customer’s stated requirements and information provided at the time of enquiry and purchase. It is the Customer’s responsibility to ensure that the Products and Services ordered meet their full functional and operational requirements prior to placing an order.

The Company shall not be liable for reduced or missing functionality arising from changes to the Customer’s requirements, withdrawal or modification of third-party products or services, or reliance on external systems or services outside the Company’s control.

3. Supply of Products and Services

Products and Services will be supplied in accordance with the agreed order. Any errors relating to products, services, or pricing must be reported to the Company within 48 hours of supply or installation.

4. Installation Appointments

Standard installation appointments are available Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm. Out-of-hours appointments may be available by prior arrangement, subject to availability and additional charges.

All installation bookings must be paid for in advance unless billed to an approved credit account. Installation charges include basic installation consumables only. Any additional parts required, or return visits, will be charged separately.

Customers must remove all personal belongings from the vehicle and ensure any customer-supplied equipment is available at the time of installation. Customers are requested to arrive 10–15 minutes before their appointment. Late arrival or unplanned delays may result in cancellation, and a re-visit charge may apply.

5. Cancellations and Changes

A minimum of 48 working hours’ notice is required for any cancellation or rescheduling. Cancellations made with insufficient notice may result in charges being applied, including the loss of any prepaid installation fees.

6. Warranty

All Products and Services supplied by the Company are covered by a minimum 12-month warranty, unless otherwise stated in writing. Any suspected fault must be reported to the Company as soon as it is identified.

The Company cannot accept responsibility for damage, loss, or additional faults arising where an issue was not reported when first noticed. Where applicable, the relevant manufacturer’s warranty terms and final decision shall take precedence.

7. Third-Party Costs and Access

The Company does not accept liability for costs incurred through third parties. Where a fault is identified or suspected, the Company must be given reasonable access to the vehicle or equipment to investigate and resolve the issue.

If the Customer chooses to engage a third party without the Company’s prior involvement, all associated costs shall remain the Customer’s responsibility.

8. Payment

Payment terms will be stated on invoices or order confirmations. The Company reserves the right to charge interest on overdue amounts at 4% above the Bank of England base rate, calculated daily until payment is made in full.

Ownership of goods remains with the Company until payment has been received in full. Reasonable costs incurred in recovering overdue amounts may be added to the balance due where permitted by law.

9. Complaints

Complaints should be submitted in writing. The Company aims to resolve complaints within 30 working days and will provide updates during the investigation. Further details are available in the Company’s Complaints Policy and Procedure

10. Force Majeure

The Company shall not be liable for delay or failure to perform its obligations where caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including (but not limited to) extreme weather, pandemic, government action, supplier failure, industrial action, or power or network outages. The Company will make reasonable efforts to resume performance as soon as practicable.

11. General

Failure by the Company to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of its rights. By placing an order, the Customer confirms acceptance of these Terms of Business.
